Greetings!

My name is Jackie Flanagan and I have been part of the Hillside family since 2010. I love this school and this community, and I am proud to be a Blue Jay!

I graduated from Bradley University and came to Hillside as a kindergarten paraprofessional. The following year I taught 5th grade, and moved to 3rd grade the next. I spent many happy years as a 3rd grade teacher! After earning my master's degree in Reading Education from Concordia University I became a reading interventionist.

My job is to share my passion for reading and learning with the K-8th grade students who need a little extra support in ELA. I see students in a small group setting so that we may target individual needs and work towards students' reading goals.

Outside of school I love to go camping, visit sushi restaurants, and play Jenga.
