Student Services

The Student Services Departments provide support and services to the students and families of Hillside School District 93.

To accomplish this goal, student services provides programming in special education, early intervening services through the District’s Response to Intervention (RtI) program, Special Education, Homebound/Hospital Tutoring and English Language Learning (ELL) instruction to name a few.

Please see the list of services provided to our families. If you any questions, please contact the Main Office to be connected with the appropriate staff member.

PUNS

Prioritization of Urgency of Need for Service (PUNS) went into effect on January 1, 2024.  PUNS is a statewide database that records information about individuals with developmental disabilities who are planning for or seeking services through the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Division of Developmental Disabilities. At each annual review for a student with a disability, the IEP (Individualized Education Program) team must determine if the student is registered for PUNS and if not, refer the family to a designated employee who has completed the PUNS training.  For information on PUNS, please contact the following trained employee:  Jennifer McGuire, Student Services Director jmcguire@hillside93.org
