Late post! Last Saturday, we had 11 students recognized at the WSCAE Art Expo. This event recognizes the outstanding artistic talent of 500 students from 15 School Districts. This annual event is held at the Cheney Mansion in Oak Park! #bljueyprideD93

This week, Detective Rich Wistocki of Be Sure Consulting Inc. spoke with our 3rd through 5th and middle school students about the real risks of social media and online strangers. With years of experience in Child Cyber Crimes, Det. Wistocki shared powerful tips on staying safe online, recognizing danger, and speaking up.
The night before, during our Parent University event, Det. Wistocki joined as a guest presenter to speak with parents about the same issues—offering insight into online trends, apps, and how to support children in navigating online risks safely.
Det. Wistocki’s message was clear: No one has the right to make you feel uncomfortable or unsafe online. Students walked away with practical tools, confidence, and a reminder that trusted adults—like parents/guardians—are always there to help.
